I was so excited for Trick Dog to open this week! As the newest venture from the Ne Timeas Restaurant Group, that’s right next door to salumeria, it’s been amazing watching the space transform and knowing how hard all the guys worked makes it even more special. I stopped by after work on Monday, their opening night, to grab a drink and see the finished product. Floors stained with coffee grounds, custom made beakers, flea market chairs and perfectly concocted cocktails. One drink turned into three. I couldn’t help myself, each drink sounded so unusual and delicious!
I had the:
Pantone– Four Roses Bourbon, Combier, Kummel, Beet, Ginger, Lemon.
Polar Bear– Pierde Almas Mezcal, Dolin Blanc, Crème De Menthe, and Angelica Tincture. (My favorite of the night recommended by Ruby. It’s minty, smoky, and stays nice and cold the whole time you drink it. So refreshing!)
St Elmo’s Fire – Denizen White Rum, Amaro Averna, Pineapple, Coconut Vinegar, Allspice, and Lime.
I will most likely be here after every shift! Everyone that works here is super talented. I can’t wait to get to know them all better. A lot of love goes into each cocktail they make. Congrats Josh, Scott, Colby, Nick & crew! I can’t wait to try dessert: Housemade Fernet ice cream made with creme de menthe and toasted cacao nibs.
