20th St Greening Project – The End Result

It’s taken a lot of time, a lot of work and patience but I’d like to thank the team and all our lovely volunteers for helping us to round off this fantastic project.

The 20th Street Biophilic Streetscape sidewalk landscaping demonstration garden installation was held the weekend of October 6 – 7, 2012. A limited number of volunteer planting positions were available to those who opted to participate and they received workshop-style guidance on the process of sidewalk landscaping. It was a fun day for all and a great opportunity to connect with other people in our community. Our volunteers got down and dirty, learned a few new tricks along the way and were treated to lunch and refreshments from flour + water, central kitchen and salumeria.
